How the search and sorting works on muuva
Latest first (standard)
Sorted by the date on which the advert was placed - not by car year. Recently placed adverts appear at the top.
Year newest
Sorted by the first year of registration of the vehicle. The most recent cars appear at the top, regardless of when the advert was placed.
Price ascending / descending
Sorted by selling price. Listings without a price ('Price on request') appear at the end.
Monthly instalment ascending / descending
Sorted by monthly leasing instalment. Only adverts with leasing details are displayed.
Few kilometres
Sorted by mileage in ascending order. Listings without kilometres appear at the end.
With the default sorting 'Newest first', sponsored listings (Spotlight, Platinum, PrimeCar) appear first. They are marked as such.
As soon as you actively sort by price, mileage, year or monthly rate, Platinum and PrimeCar are sorted like all other listings. Spotlight stays in first place on search results pages 1 and 2 and is marked as sponsored.
In doing so, we are following the industry standard and EU Regulation P2B (2019/1150) for fair online brokerage.
Year
Year of first registration of the vehicle.
Mileage
Current mileage of the vehicle.
Fuel
Petrol, diesel, electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, other.
Body type
Body shape: Saloon, estate car, SUV, coupe, convertible, van, small car, pick-up.
Transmission
Gearstick or automatic.
Why does an older advert sometimes appear at the top?
With the default sorting, sponsored listings (Spotlight, Platinum, PrimeCar) appear first — even if the car is older. They are marked. Sort by 'Year newest' to sort by vehicle age; only Spotlight then stays in first place.
What happens if I sort by price?
Listings are sorted by price; Platinum and PrimeCar get no advantage. Only Spotlight stays in first place on search results pages 1 and 2 and is marked as sponsored.
Can I combine filters and sorting?
Yes, set filters (e.g. Fuel: Electric, Price up to 50,000) and select a sort order. The sorting applies within the filtered results.
How do I save a search?
You will find a bookmark symbol in the search results. Click on it to save the search with all filters and sorting.
